Kudus Finally Builds Tourist Information Centre.

The raise of tourism visit in Kudus, Central Java forces local government to build Tourist Information Centre (TIC) under the monitoring of Kudus Tourism Authority Office. Since the demand in getting local tourism information is highly wanted, the existence of TIC creates new atmosphere to get information freely.

Tourist Information Centre (TIC) officially opened by official in the end of this April. It is located in the Kudus Identical Monument around Kudus Extension Mall Area, R.A Agil Kusumadya Street Number 231 Kudus city.

Tourist Information Center (TIC) grand launching which was officially opened by the Mayor of Kudus city H. Mustofa also introduces the local art performances of traditional dance “Tari Kretek”, Specific foods exhibitions such as Soto Kudus, Lentog Tanjung, Nasi Pindang, Garang Asem and Sate Kebo.

As other Tourist Information Centre in Indonesia, it provides nice informations at a specific attraction or place of interest, such as a landmark, national park, national forest, or state park, providing information (such as trail maps, and about camp sites, staff contact, restrooms, etc.) and in-depth educational exhibits and artefact displays (for example, about natural or cultural history). Often a film or other media display is used. If the site has permit requirements or guided tours, the visitor center is often the place where these are coordinated.

The Head Kudus Tourism Authority, Mr Sancaka said that ”A tourist information center, providing visitors to a location with information on the area's attractions, lodgings, maps, and other items relevant to tourism. Often, these centres are operated at the airport or other port of entry, by the local government or chamber of commerce. Often a visitor centre is called simply an information centre ”

“Tourist Information Centre is a physical location that provides tourist information to the visitors who tour the place or local Area” Mr Sancaka added.

The mayor of Kudus city in his speech hopes to see larger tourism visit after the establishment of Tourist information Centre. ”On the other side of grand opening Tourist Information centre is this momentum can be used to gain more tourist in which can raise local income.” The mayor Mustofa ended his speech.
